Where this work begins
I didn't arrive at this work through a straight line.
For years I worked across multiple industries in project management and engineering, roles that demanded precision, clarity under pressure and the ability to hold complexity without losing sight of the human being at the centre of it. I was good at it. And then travel changed everything.
A life of travel opened something in me that no project brief ever had. It brought me face to face with how differently cultures hold women through birth, postpartum and the transition into motherhood. With how much wisdom has been lost in our model of care. With how many women move through one of the most profound transformations of their lives, matrescence, without a name for what they are experiencing, without a community to hold them, and without the deep support that transformation deserves.
I came home certain of one thing: this is where I was needed.
I trained as a certified doula through Birth Right Training Academy. I deepened my practice through acupressure therapy, Shiatsu, somatic bodywork and trauma-informed care. And I continue to learn, through births attended, circles held, women supported and the ongoing unfolding of my own matrescence as a woman on a pre-conception journey.
The Line Between was born from all of it.

What I bring to this work
My practice is rooted in the philosophy of matrescence, the understanding that becoming a mother is not a single moment but a profound, ongoing transformation that reshapes a woman neurologically, psychologically, physically and relationally. A transformation that begins long before birth and continues long after.
What I bring from my engineering and project management background is not incidental to this work, it is foundational. The ability to hold a complex process with calm and clarity. To advocate within systems. To stay present under pressure. To plan with precision while remaining completely flexible when the moment asks for it. Birth and postpartum ask for all of these things.
What I bring from travel is a deep respect for the ways different cultures have always held women through this passage and a clear-eyed understanding of what we have lost when that holding disappears.
What I bring from my own journey is the willingness to sit at the threshold myself. To not speak from a distance but from within the transformation.

How I work
My support is continuous and holistic, woven through every stage of the motherhood journey from pre-conception through postpartum and beyond. I offer full spectrum doula support alongside acupressure therapy, integrating the two wherever they serve the woman in front of me.
Acupressure is at the heart of my bodywork practice. Not because it is the most talked-about modality, but because it works with the body's own intelligence rather than against it. Through pregnancy, labour and postpartum recovery, the body is doing extraordinary work. My role is to support that work, not override it.
I am based in Beaufort, Victoria and support families across the Pyrenees, Ballarat, Ararat and Grampians region. I am available for in-person and remote support.
